QUALIFYING AND ENTRIES 2012 Entries must be postmarked before midnight. All entries will be charged a $60 (nonrefundable nontransferable) Office/Admin Fee. Should any entry bear both a postage meter date and a postmark by the Post Office Department, the post office date will be considered the effective date of mailing. Should an entry bear a postage meter date and no Post Office Department postmark, the metered date shall be valid only if received within seven days of the date shown. QUALIFYING ENTRY PROCEDURE for HUNTERS & JUMPERS Hunter Sections restricting entries will be based on USEF National Horse of the Year points earned by horses/ponies at their best 15 shows starting on or after August 22, 2011, through shows starting on or before August 19, 2012. Exhibitors in hunter sections should submit with the entry form a list of the total points accrued during the qualification period at nor more than fifteen (15) shows. Management will allow the horses who were Champions at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in 2011 to show in 2012 in their respective sections, if entered and eligible. Point totals will be verified with USEF. Amateur Owner Jumpers will qualify based on prize money won at shows starting on or after August 22, 2011 through shows starting on or before August 19, 2012. Amateur Owners may claim only money won in High Amateur Owner classes. Open Jumpers: Riders will be accepted based on their ranking on the USEF Computer List dated August 24, 2012. Up to five riders may be accepted as wildcards, at the discretion of management. Each rider accepted will be able to show a total of 4 horses. Local Hunters: Open to horses which are owned and ridden by a legal resident (as verified by USEF address) within a 60 mile radius of Harrisburg (as verified by zip code radius - www.melissadata.com/Lookups/zipdistance.asp). |
